Very Sad day, ♥

My grandmother gotten back the scan result and her calcium score is 144. I was told from the family doctor that her blood vessel is being blocked. She was refered to a Cardiologist at the National Heart Center. Dr See Chai Kiat from the National Heart Center was schedule for her. I went to check from the internet and found that Dr See is a associate consultant and I am not comfortable with him. I went to look for Dr Lim Soo Teik who is the Head and Senior Consultant from the National Heart Center and make the earliest appointment for my grandmother.

My Grandmother was scheduled to see Dr Lim on the 27th Dec 2007. After see the scan result by Dr Lim, he said that my grandmother is having a coronoary artey disease and need to go for the Stress Echo Test and Dr Lim prescribed some medicine for my grandmother. Dr Lim told my grnadmother that the medicine has some side effect and therefore she dare not eat because she is going to genting to celebrate the New Year.

She came back from genting on the 1st Jan 2008 and started the medication. After taking the medication, she felt very giddy and having stomach upset. I tried to contact Dr Lim and his nurse but was turn down by the National Heart Center. I was told to call up the appointment center to make an earliest appointment and bring my grandma down to see Dr Lim.

I was very pissed and disappointed with the service rendered by National Heart Center. I called up the Gleneagles Hospital and asked for the Coronary Artery Specialist and was reffered to Dr Peter Yan. I brought grandma down to see Dr Peter Yan right away. Dr Peter Yan claimed that the result shows the calcium score is 144 means that my grandma's front right artery is confirmed blocked. Dr Peter Yan told me to let her go for an Angiogram test the very next day where she needs to stay in hospital for a day. I agreed to Dr Peter Yan and do the administration procedure. She was sent to go for the Echocardiogram test the very day and claimed that her heart is very strong.

The very next day, I sent her to the hospital at 7am and the Angiogram test was carried out at 9am by Dr Peter Yan. I was at the scene with my uncle and aunt during the Angiogram test. I was horrified to see lots of blood coming out from my grandma's body. After the Angiogram test, Dr Peter Yan clamied that her front artery is being blocked 90% while the center artery is being block 75% and the other artery is block 50%.

The front right artery and the center artery need to do the Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA). I was very scared and feeling miserable to see grandma got to undergo this stage. I and my uncle agreed to allow her to go for PTCA but one of my cousin who is a doctor requested us to hold on to the treatment cause of my grandma's age which is 82 years old and is very dangerous to go through this process. My cousin suggested to seek for another cadiologist opinion before going through to this treatment. We have requested Dr Peter Yan to give us sometime before going through to this treatment.

Dr Peter Yan prescribed one week medicine and needs to go back to consult Dr Peter Yan again by the 10th Jan 2008. We will be seeing Dr Lim at the National Heart Center for his opinion by bringing the Angiogram test Result to show it to him.

I am feeling very very sad over this issue and have neglected my ICD assignemnt. I am now rushing my ICD assignment and hope to submit it ontime by tomorrow.

A very hetic week for me.

Back From Genting, ♥

I woke up at half past 4 in the morning and my aunt just came back to the hotel room from casino. This means that I can leave the hotel room as my aunt can accompany my grandmother in the room. Haha.... I went to wash up and left the room in a while. I head down to the casino and try my luck. I left the casino at about 9 in the morning and I make some profit. hehehe..... I went up to the hotel room to wash up and do my packing to get ready to go for breakfast with grandma, aunt and friends. we went to the hotel lobby at Starbucks Cafe for breakfast.

Our vehicle arrive at the hotel lobby at 11am and send my grandma, aunt and myself to the airport to take a flight back to Singapore. Our filght time is at 1430hrs. Arriving at Singapore at 1520hrs.

We got home at around 5pm. Unpack all my stuff and do some wash up. I went out to get dinner for my family. After dinner, I went to check my email and feeling very tired. I went to bed at about 10pm.
